Evacuation of Students with Disabilities helps school staff members inform school staff and teachers of the specialized procedures and unique needs of students with disabilities in an emergency. This includes the legal requirements of Safe School Plans, disaster planning, evacuations and more.

Preventing Injuries: Paraeducators and Students offers cautionary information and practical tips to help you minimize these risks. Proper techniques for some common daily tasks, instructional interventions, and behavioral management strategies can reduce aggressive behavior and help prevent injury.

Behavior Management Strategies provides an overview of the role and responsibilities as a paraeducator supporting students as they learn to meet behavioral expectations.

Restraint and Seclusion: Uses, Alternatives and Risks covers positive behavior interventions, according to IDEA, and how to conduct a functional behavior assessment when behavior impedes a student’s learning learning or the learning of other students.
